They had to use the president's giant training cards and had to find the right character out of all the cards laid out on the field.
Cecil, as well as the members of STARISH, were taken outside by Camus to have a competition and test their skills. In the first episode he stole a handkerchief from her room and leapt out the window, seemingly inadvertently leading her to her first encounter with Ichinose Tokiya. Cecil appeared to Nanami as a black cat, which Nanami named Kuppuru.
