Would love to keep both MacBooks but that’s not a financially feasible option. Now, I’m second guessing my decision to replace it with the Air. Both systems come equipped with 802.11ac networking and Bluetooth 4.0 support, and both come equipped with stereo speakers. The 11-inch is lighter by slightly more than half a pound - 2.38 pounds, compared to the 13-inch's 2.96 pounds. Comparing the two, I actually prefer the extra width of the 11' Air, 30cm v 28cm, as it is easier to rest on your legs, when sitting on the sofa or bed. After reading through this thread and seeing all the love for the 12” rMB it has reminded me just how great a machine it truly is. The 11-inch model is less than a foot wide (11.8 inches) and the 13-inch model is 12.8 inches wide. The 12' is more productive than 11' Air with the 16:10 screen and 1280:800 resolution and is only slightly taller, 19.65 cm v 19.2 cm. Since my 12” MacBook is pretty desirable, I’m hoping to recoup a good chunk of the cost of the new Air (I upgraded to the 16GB RAM version) when I list it for sale soon. Or maybe the bigger and more honest reason is that I’m just a sucker for new tech. Upgrading to the new Air since my eyesight is getting worse and I’m hoping the larger screen on the Air will help with eye strain.

I got it late last year and it’s still covered under AppleCare+ for 2 more years and the keyboard replacement program until 2023. I have a new M1 Air being delivered today to replace my current MacBook, a fully loaded (i7/16/512) 2017 12” rMB, which I love.
